Located at the eastern side of the Marienplatz, this majestic Town Hall, as old as the 13th century, has sure seen its share of the fate's fickle finger at work.
Nowadays, it enjoys a moderate amount of fame as one of the city's best lookouts. It also houses the city's toy museum, so don't miss out on visiting it if you or your kids like dolls, stuffed animals or train models.
Although it only served as the seat of the city council until 1874, it still serves as a representative venue for important city events, as well as for the needs of the city council, and the mayor of the state capital.
The Town Hall now houses a Toy Museum which is open daily from 10 am - 5:30 pm.
