Oscar Wilde House

Local nameAmerican College Dublin
LocationDublin, Ireland

This is the house where the Wilde family used to live and where the world-famous playwright and novelist spent a part of his childhood. Observe the ground that might have been an inspiration for the novelist who wrote masterpieces such as The Picture of Dorian Gray, An Ideal Husband, The Canterville Ghost any many others.

This historical house is also a great example of Georgian architecture and now serves as a classroom and offices. Even though only the exterior is accessible, any literature fan should not miss paying respect to this building. Pearse Station is the nearest DART station, but you can also get here by buses operating on the Merrion Square.
