Red Townhall

Designed by Hermann Waesemann and built in 1869, this town hall's style reproduces the Italian Renaissance. It is mainly noticeable because of its distinctive red-coloured walls, hence the name. The official residence of the Governing Mayor and the city's government, it is also home to a portrait gallery of Berlin's honorary citizens.
