This astronomical observatory is among the most popular sites in Copenhagen. It offers a beautiful view of the city and an opportunity to observe the sun in the same establishment.
Built in the 17th century, this tower used to serve as a library, where people like Ludvig Holberg, Ole Rømer, H.C. Ørsted and Hans Christian Andersen would study.
Instead of stairs, you have to climb a ramp upstairs. The ramp also has exits for the library and for the Ringer's Loft. When upstairs, you might have a chance to see the Sun through the lens of a telescope.
If you want to have one of the best views of Copenhagen, come here and take as many pictures as you want. Visit it during the sunset for an even more enhanced experience.
This place is about a 5-minute walk away from the metro station Nørreport, lines M1 and M2, and also from a train station sharing the same name.
Opening hours of the observatory vary, please visit the official site.
