A must-see for every film fan visiting Hollywood. It is both an active filming studios complex and a theme park with attractions for the tourists. It is also one of the most visited places in Los Angeles.
The park was established in 1964 and is growing in size and popularity ever since. It is divided into two sections - the Upper Lot and the Lower Lot with most of the attractions being located in the Upper Lot.
One of its most popular attractions is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It is also one of the busiest places in the studios so if you wish to see it, you should consider heading there sooner rather than later.
Among other popular attractions are: The Simpsons Ride, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Shrek 4-D or the new Walking Dead Attraction. You may also encounter your favourite characters walking around in the park (e.g. the Simpsons or the Minions) and take a selfie with them. You can also take a tour around the studios and see all the imposing filming places.
Be sure to check the official website where the names of the actors who are filming in the studios are listed.
Due to the immense popularity of the place, the Universal Studios Hollywood get crowded quite often. You can, however, buy your tickets in advance and avoid long queues (or even get inside early before other visitors are let in).
