Originally called "Via Lata", which literally means "The Wide Street", this 10-meter-wide boulevard is one of the main streets in the historical center of Rome, surrounded by the some of the city's most noteworthy sights all around.
The history of this street began to unfold in 3rd century BC. Ever since then, it has retained its distinctive, straight layout. Today, it serves as a busy shopping hub, popular both with the locals and with tourists. There are many classy shops along the street, from a Ferrari store to designer-fashion boutiques.
Opening times of the shops differ.
Larger shops are generally open daily from 10 am to 8 pm.
