Founded in 1857 by King Rama IV, the Buddhist temple houses the ashes of Thai Royal Family members and many sculptures of Buddha. The former crematorium was rebuilt and now it displays the ancient craftsmanship known in Thai as phra men. The whole temple is surrounded by lush green trees which offer a peaceful place for a stroll and meditation.
