The Best of Dresden

Dresden was the Baroque capital of Saxony, and it was rebuilt from ruins after 1945. This walk visits the sights that define it: the Zwinger courtyard, the Semper opera house, the castle of the Saxon rulers, the Procession of Princes, Brühl's Terrace above the Elbe, the Albertinum, the Church of Our Lady, the rebuilt Neumarkt, the Altmarkt and the Kreuzkirche. Ten stops, about an hour and twenty minutes on foot with the audio. The walk starts in the Zwinger courtyard, a few minutes on foot from Postplatz, the central tram stop, and ends beside Altmarkt, where the same trams run back.
