Østerdalen Essentials

Østerdalen follows Norway’s longest river, the Glomma, through a landscape of dense pine forests and dramatic geological formations. This collection highlights the region's cultural and natural landmarks, including the medieval stone architecture of Ringsaker kirke and the 2.4-kilometer-long Jutulhogget canyon. Jutulhogget

One of Northern Europe’s largest canyons, stretching 2.4 kilometers with depths up to 240 meters. It was formed approximately 10,000 years ago by the catastrophic drainage of the glacial lake Nedre Glåmsjø.
