Europe's oldest tea plantation, operating since 1883. The museum showcases original 19th-century British machinery used to process black and green teas.
Museu Carlos Machado - Núcleo de Santo André
Housed in the 16th-century Convent of Santo André, this is the oldest museum in the Azores. It features extensive natural history, sacred art, and ethnographic collections.
Capelinhos Volcano Interpretation Centre
An underground facility located beneath a lighthouse buried by volcanic ash. It documents the 1957 eruption and the tectonic formation of the Azores.
Monte Brasil's Signal Station
A historic maritime communication post used to signal ship arrivals and monitor the coast. It offers panoramic views over the Bay of Angra.
Museu do Vinho
Located in the wine-growing region of Biscoitos, this museum details the cultivation of grapes in volcanic stone enclosures known as curraletas.
