On the hilltop, the 13th-century Veste Oberhaus fortress contains the Oberhausmuseum, detailing medieval life and regional history. In the Old Town, the Museum Moderner Kunst showcases contemporary works in a 14th-century townhouse, while the RömerMuseum Kastell Boiotro preserves the remains of a late Roman fort and artifacts from the Danube frontier.
