Island Archaeological Sites
Capri’s archaeological landscape is dominated by the legacy of Emperor Tiberius, most notably at the sprawling Villa Jovis and the coastal Bagni di Tiberio. The island also features a network of defensive structures, including the well-preserved La Guardia Tower and the coastal forts of Orrico and Mesola along the western cliffs. Natural formations like the Grotta di Matermania provided spaces for ancient rituals, while various Roman ruins scattered across the heights offer insight into the island's strategic and residential history during the first century.

A coastal defensive structure situated along the western Path of the Forts. It was utilized during the Napoleonic Wars to guard the island against naval attacks.

Archaeological remains of a Roman seaside villa featuring ancient harbor structures and thermal baths once used by Emperor Tiberius.
Fortino di Mesola
A circular defensive fortification located on the western coast of the island, forming part of the historical military defenses between the Blue Grotto and Punta Carena.
H Ruins
Scattered remains of ancient Roman structures located along the walking paths near the northeastern cliffs of the island.
