Crete’s coastline features diverse geological formations, from the turquoise lagoon and white shell sands of Balos to the unique Cretan date palm forest at Vai. The southwestern coast is home to Elafonisi’s pink-tinted shores and the ancient juniper groves of Kedrodasos.
