Pelješac's Essential Treasures

The Pelješac peninsula is defined by its massive 14th-century defensive system and centuries-old traditions. This list features the Walls of Ston, once the longest fortification in Europe, and Solana Ston, one of the oldest active saltworks in the Mediterranean. Beyond the historic forts and towers of Ston and Mali Ston, the collection highlights the sandy shores of Trstenica Beach in Orebić and the aquaculture-rich waters of Mali Ston Bay, known for its oyster beds.

Veliki Kaštel

Solana Ston

One of the oldest active salt pans in the world, dating to the 14th century. It still produces salt using traditional methods of solar evaporation from the Adriatic Sea.
