Sapporo's Essential Experiences

Sapporo’s urban landscape is defined by the central Odori Park and the 19th-century wooden Clock Tower. Natural landmarks include Mount Moiwa, accessible via ropeway for panoramic views, and the expansive, Isamu Noguchi-designed Moerenuma Park. Cultural and culinary hubs range from the Hokkaido Shrine’s traditional Shinto architecture to the fresh seafood stalls of Nijo Ichiba. The city’s food culture is further represented by the concentrated ramen shops of Ganso Ramen Yokocho and the Shiroi Koibito chocolate factory.
