Troodos Monasteries and Churches

The Troodos Mountains house a significant collection of Byzantine and post-Byzantine churches and monasteries, including several UNESCO World Heritage sites. These structures are characterized by their unique timber-roofed architecture, developed to protect the buildings from heavy mountain snow.
