Chełmno is a remarkably preserved medieval town, still defined by its 13th-century grid layout and nearly complete circuit of defensive walls. A premier example of Renaissance architecture in Poland, this town hall was rebuilt between 1567 and 1572. It features a distinctive decorative attic and houses the Museum of the Chełmno Land. On its western wall, you can find the 'Chełmno ell,' a medieval unit of measurement.
