Chełmno Essentials

Chełmno is a remarkably preserved medieval town, still defined by its 13th-century grid layout and nearly complete circuit of defensive walls. Ratusz w Chełmnie

A premier example of Renaissance architecture in Poland, this town hall was rebuilt between 1567 and 1572. It features a distinctive decorative attic and houses the Museum of the Chełmno Land. On its western wall, you can find the 'Chełmno ell,' a medieval unit of measurement.

Zespół Klasztorny

This extensive complex includes the 13th-century Church of St. John the Baptist and St. John the Evangelist. Originally a Cistercian-Benedictine convent, it is now managed by the Sisters of Charity and features significant Gothic architecture and a historic monastery garden.
