Sergipe features a mix of historical preservation and dramatic geography. The state is home to the UNESCO-listed São Francisco Square in São Cristóvão, a 17th-century colonial ensemble. Located on the Orla de Atalaia, this monument features bronze statues of prominent Brazilian historical figures, including Zumbi dos Palmares, Dom Pedro II, and Tiradentes.
Ponte do Imperador
A historic pier originally constructed in 1860 to receive Emperor Dom Pedro II. It offers views over the Sergipe River in the center of Aracaju.
