Bran Essentials

Bran centers around the 14th-century Bran Castle, a Gothic fortress housing Queen Marie’s art collection and medieval artifacts. The surrounding area preserves Transylvanian heritage through the Village Museum’s 18 traditional households and the Muzeul Național Bran’s historical exhibits. For dining, the former royal Tea House serves regional dishes within the castle park. The destination also includes the Haunted Castle, a horror-themed manor house, and the 'Sufletul Branului' open-air museum dedicated to local cultural traditions.

This collection spans the diverse geography of the Bran region, from the landscaped gardens surrounding Bran Castle to the rugged limestone wilderness of the Bucegi Mountains.
