Guernsey’s heritage spans from medieval fortifications to the 20th-century German occupation. Explore Hauteville House, the former residence of Victor Hugo, and the 800-year-old Castle Cornet overlooking St Peter Port. Hauteville House

The former residence of Victor Hugo during his 14-year exile in Guernsey. The house features eccentric interior design and furniture crafted by the author himself, including the glass-walled room where he wrote Les Misérables.

Castle Cornet

Castle Cornet is a large island castle in Guernsey, and former tidal island, also known as Cornet Rock or Castle Rock.

German Naval Signals HQ

A restored WWII bunker that served as the final operational signal headquarters for the German naval command in the Channel Islands. It contains original equipment used to coordinate naval traffic and communications during the occupation.

German Occupation Museum World War II

Located near the airport, this museum features a vast collection of artifacts from the 1940-1945 occupation. It includes life-sized street scene reconstructions, military vehicles, and personal accounts detailing the daily hardships of islanders.

La Societe Serquaise

Located on the island of Sark, this heritage center preserves local history through archaeological finds, traditional farming tools, and exhibitions detailing the unique seigneurial system of the island.

Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum

Housed in a 19th-century Martello tower known as the 'Cup and Saucer,' this museum displays artifacts recovered from shipwrecks along Guernsey’s west coast, including items from HMS Sprightly.
