Natural Wonders of Ioannina

Ioannina’s geography is dominated by Lake Pamvotida, the largest in Epirus, and the limestone formations of the Pindus mountains. Perama

A 1.5-million-year-old limestone cave system spanning 1,100 meters. It contains 19 varieties of stalactites and stalagmites and served as a civilian air-raid shelter during World War II.
