Ladakh's Buddhist Gompas
Ladakh’s spiritual landscape is defined by its ancient gompas, many perched on dramatic rocky outcrops overlooking the Indus Valley. Alchi Gompa
An 11th-century monastic complex renowned for its unique Indo-Tibetan murals and wood carvings that reflect Kashmiri artistic influence. Unlike most Ladakhi gompas, it is situated on flat ground near the Indus River.
