Baai van Risan

Risanski zaliv Essentials

Risanski zaliv, the innermost arm of the Bay of Kotor, is defined by the maritime heritage of Perast and the ancient history of Risan. The area features a high concentration of 17th and 18th-century Baroque palaces and the iconic man-made islet of Our Lady of the Rocks. In Risan, archaeological sites preserve rare 2nd-century Roman mosaics, while the surrounding karst landscape is marked by the Sopot spring and historic flour mills in Morinj.
