Peaks and Alpine Huts
This collection features the prominent peaks and essential facilities of the Northern Japan Alps, centered around the Tateyama-Kurobe region. It includes Mount Tateyama, one of Japan’s three holy mountains, and historic sites like Hakuba Sanso, the nation’s oldest secular mountain hut. Accommodations range from the high-altitude hot springs at Raichōsō to the historic stone huts of Murodo. A Hakuba Sanso
Japan’s oldest secular mountain hut, established in 1906. It is located just below the summit of Mount Hakuba at an elevation of 2,832 meters.
B Mt. Tateyama
One of Japan’s Three Holy Mountains, this 3,015-meter peak is a central site for mountain worship within the Chubu-Sangaku National Park.
