New Zealand's Highest Peaks

New Zealand's South Island is home to the Southern Alps, a dramatic mountain range featuring several peaks exceeding 3,000 metres. This collection highlights the country's most significant summits, led by Aoraki / Mount Cook, the highest point at 3,724 metres. It includes the subsequent highest peaks—Mount Tasman, Mount Dampier, and Mount Vancouver—all located within the same glaciated region. Also featured is Mount Aspiring / Tititea, the tallest peak outside the Aoraki area, and Mount Arthur, known for its distinct marble karst landscapes in the Wharepapa Range.
