New Zealand's South Island is home to the Southern Alps, a dramatic mountain range featuring several peaks exceeding 3,000 metres. This collection highlights the country's most significant summits, led by Aoraki / Mount Cook, the highest point at 3,724 metres. It includes the subsequent highest peaks—Mount Tasman, Mount Dampier, and Mount Vancouver—all located within the same glaciated region.
