Carnac Megaliths

The Carnac Megaliths represent one of the world's most significant Neolithic archaeological sites, featuring over 3,000 standing stones erected between 4500 BC and 3300 BC. This prehistoric landscape in Brittany includes the famous alignments of Ménec, Kermario, and Kerlescan, alongside massive burial tumuli and passage graves like Saint-Michel and Kercado. These granite monuments provide essential evidence of the complex social structures and funerary rites of early European civilizations.

Alignement du Ménec

The largest of the Carnac stone alignments, consisting of 1,050 stones arranged in 11 parallel rows stretching over one kilometer, terminating in a semi-circular stone circle.
