Colmar Heritage Trail
This trail traverses Colmar's architectural history, from 14th-century Gothic residences to 19th-century neoclassical monuments. The selection features the Renaissance artistry of Maison Pfister, the medieval Koïffhus customs house, and significant works by local sculptor Auguste Bartholdi. Religious landmarks like the Saint-Matthieu Church and the 1843 Synagogue stand alongside civic structures including the monumental Cour d'Appel and the 18th-century Hôtel de Ville.
Ancienne douane (Koïffhus)
Completed in 1480, this is Colmar's oldest public building. It served as a warehouse, market, and customs house, distinguished by its roof of glazed colored tiles.
Ancien corps de garde
A 16th-century Renaissance building featuring a refined loggia. It historically served as a guardhouse and a market hall for nuts and oil.
Fontaine Bruat
An 1864 bronze fountain by Auguste Bartholdi dedicated to Admiral Bruat. The allegorical figures at the base represent the four continents.
Maison Kern
A Renaissance-era house featuring a characteristic stepped gable and ornate stone architectural details.
Maison Schongauer
A late medieval building named after the famous 15th-century painter and engraver Martin Schongauer.
