Colmar Heritage Trail

A Maison Pfister
Built in 1537, this Renaissance house features a two-story corner oriel window, a wooden gallery, and octagonal turret. The facade is decorated with frescoes depicting biblical scenes and Germanic emperors.
B Église Saint-Matthieu
A former Franciscan abbey church dating to the 13th century. It transitioned to a Protestant place of worship in 1575 and is noted for its Gothic architecture and exceptional acoustics.
C Ancienne douane (Koïffhus)
Completed in 1480, this is Colmar's oldest public building. It served as a warehouse, market, and customs house, distinguished by its roof of glazed colored tiles.
D Musée Bartholdi
Located in the birthplace of Auguste Bartholdi, this museum houses original models and sketches of the sculptor's most famous works, including the Statue of Liberty and the Lion of Belfort.
