Grenoble’s heritage spans two millennia, from the 3rd-century Roman defensive walls to the innovative concrete architecture of the 20th century. The city’s history as the capital of the Dauphiné province is preserved in the 15th-century Palais du Parlement and the Gothic Église Saint-André.
