Highlights of Koprivshtitsa

Koprivshtitsa is a living museum of the Bulgarian National Revival, preserved for its 19th-century architecture and its pivotal role in the 1876 April Uprising. This collection highlights the ornate homes of prominent revolutionaries and poets, such as Todor Kableshkov and Dimcho Debelyanov. Key sites include the Kalachev Bridge, where the rebellion began, and merchant houses like the Oslekov and Lyutov homes, which showcase elaborate murals and unique symmetrical wooden facades.

First Shot bridge
