The Salzkammergut region is defined by the Northern Limestone Alps, featuring prominent summits like the Hoher Dachstein, the second-highest peak in the range. Many peaks, such as Schafberg and Zwölferhorn, are accessible via historic cog railways or cable cars, providing panoramic views over the Wolfgangsee and Mondsee.
