Valley of Fire State Park features diverse geological formations shaped by shifting sand dunes and erosion over 150 million years. Seven Sisters

White Domes

Beehive Rock
Sandstone mounds characterized by distinct cross-bedding layers created by ancient shifting sand dunes. The unique weathering patterns resemble traditional beehives.
Baseline Mesa
A prominent flat-topped mesa located on the eastern side of the park, offering views of the surrounding Aztec Sandstone formations and desert landscape.
Blue Point
A geological summit located near the park's eastern entrance, known for its distinct coloration and proximity to the thermal Blue Point Spring.
