Wieliczka Essentials

Wieliczka is centered around its UNESCO-listed salt mine, featuring underground chapels and saline lakes. The town's history as a salt-mining hub is preserved at the Żupny Castle, the former seat of the mine administration. Above ground, the historic center includes the 16th-century wooden Church of St. Sebastian and the Baroque Franciscan Monastery. Kościół pw. Świętego Sebastiana w Wieliczce

Zespół Kościelno-Klasztorny Ojców Franciszkanów-Reformatów

A 17th-century Baroque complex consisting of the Church of the Stigmata of St. Francis and a monastery. It was the first brick-built Reformati convent in Poland.

Kościół pw. Świętego Klemensa w Wieliczce

A 19th-century church built on the foundations of a 13th-century predecessor. It features a detached bell tower and an interior with neoclassical and Baroque elements.

Park Kingi

A public park situated between the historic salt mine shafts, featuring walking paths, statues, and the entrance to the Graduation Tower.

Parowóz TKp-2316 „Śląsk”

An industrial steam locomotive manufactured in 1952. It served the local salt industry and is now displayed as a monument to the region's railway history.
