Баэса
Baeza is a small town in the province of Jaén, in eastern Andalusia, set among olive groves. With nearby Úbeda, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Renaissance buildings. It is a peaceful place of golden stone, small squares and a university tradition.
The poet Antonio Machado lived and taught here from 1912 to 1919, and the town appears in his writings.

Antonio Machado lived in Baeza as a French teacher in the early 20th century. In 2003 the town was inscribed with Úbeda on the UNESCO list.
