Luzon’s landscape features diverse geological and cultural sites, from the 8.2-kilometer navigable underground river in Palawan to the 2,000-year-old hand-carved rice terraces of Batad. The region preserves unique burial traditions, including the hanging coffins of Sagada and the mummified remains in the Timbac caves. Natural landmarks include the white sedimentary rock formations of Ilocos Norte, the limestone-rimmed lagoons of El Nido and Coron, and the Grecian-style ruins on Fortune Island.
