Margate’s seafront is defined by the historic Dreamland amusement park and its adjacent sandy coastline. The Scenic Railway
Opened in 1920, this Grade II* listed wooden roller coaster is the oldest in the UK. It is notable for requiring a brakeman to ride on the train to manually control the speed.
