Ohrid Municipality, a UNESCO World Heritage site, preserves centuries of history along the shores of one of Europe’s oldest lakes. This selection features the 13th-century Church of St. John at Kaneo, the 11th-century frescoes of St. Sophia, and the Hellenistic-type Ancient Theatre. Beyond the old town's Ottoman-style architecture, such as the Robev Family House, the list includes the prehistoric pile-dwelling settlement at the Bay of Bones and the Monastery of Saint Naum.
