North Aegean Essentials

The North Aegean islands preserve a diverse historical record, from the 6th-century BC Tunnel of Eupalinos and the Temple of Hera on Samos to the 11th-century mosaics of Nea Moni on Chios. The region's defensive history is evident in the Byzantine and Genoese fortifications of Mytilene, Molyvos, and Myrina. Historic Fortresses of the North Aegean

This collection features the defensive architecture of the North Aegean, spanning the Byzantine, Genoese, and Ottoman eras.
