Agrigento's Essential Treasures

Agrigento showcases the architectural legacy of Akragas, one of the most prominent cities of Magna Graecia. The UNESCO-listed Valley of the Temples features remarkably preserved Doric structures, including the near-intact Temple of Concordia and the massive ruins of the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Beyond the archaeological park, the city’s medieval core holds the 11th-century San Gerlando Cathedral and the Monastery of Santo Spirito, known for its Chiaramonte-style architecture and Giacomo Serpotta stuccos. Valley of the Temples

Located in Agrigento, Sicily, this UNESCO World Heritage site preserves the remains of Akragas, one of the most influential Greek cities in the Mediterranean.
