Siwa Essentials

Siwa Oasis contains ancient archaeological sites and unique natural features built from kershef—a traditional mixture of salt and mud. The 13th-century Fort of Shali dominates the town center, while the Temple of Amun marks where Alexander the Great consulted the famous oracle.
