Ancient Ruins of Sicily

Sicily's archaeological landscape preserves the remnants of Mediterranean civilizations, from 6th-century BC Greek colonies to 4th-century AD Roman estates. This collection features the UNESCO-listed Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, home to the remarkably intact Temple of Concordia, and the extensive ruins of Selinunte and Segesta. In Syracuse, the Neapolis Archaeological Park showcases one of the ancient world's largest theaters, while the Villa Romana del Casale displays one of the most complex collections of Roman mosaics in existence.
