Eger Wine Culture
Eger’s wine culture centers on the historic Szépasszony-völgy, where dozens of cellars are carved into volcanic tuff. The region is famous for producing Egri Bikavér (Bull’s Blood) and the aromatic Egri Csillag. This selection features both these traditional underground tasting rooms and contemporary estates like Bolyki, which operates out of a dramatic former stone quarry. You will find a variety of local wine styles, from crisp whites to the region's signature deep, spicy reds.
