Greenland Ice Sheet Unmissables

The Greenland Ice Sheet covers approximately 1.7 million square kilometers, representing the second-largest body of ice on Earth. This collection highlights the primary gateway at Kangerlussuaq and Punkt 660, one of the few places where the ice edge is accessible by land vehicles. It features significant geographical landmarks like the 2,975-meter Petermann Peak and Brückner Glacier, alongside critical scientific outposts such as Summit Station and the North GRIP drilling site, which provide essential data for global climate research.
