North-facing beach sheltered from prevailing southerly winds, providing calm swimming conditions and direct access to the Mooloolaba Esplanade.

The oldest surviving building in Caloundra, this 1896 wood-framed lighthouse features a corrugated iron exterior and served as a navigational aid until 1968.
