This 17th-century palace is the official seat of the Italian Chamber of Deputies.
The palace was originally built according to the plans of one of the most popular architects in renaissance - Gian Lorenzo Bernini. However, his version of the building was never finished, as the construction works stopped shortly after the death of his client, Pope Gregory XV.
Today, the palace we can see is a combination of the oldest Bernini layer, and newer additions designed by Carlo Fontana and Ernesto Basile. The latter added the Art Nouveau aspects to the building.
