The tram first began transporting people to the highest points of the Hong Kong Island in 1926, and it is now a very popular tourist attraction. If you wish to get to the Victoria Peak, this is the best way to do it.
Sadly, due to the space limitations of the tram, there are usually long queues taking up to an hour. The queues form in both directions – on the way to the top and on the way back. However, the journey is worth it as you will get an amazing view of Hong Kong, provided that the weather is nice.
You can either get the regular tram ticket or the Peak Tram Sky Pass which combines both – the tram and the Sky Terrace entrance ticket. Sky Terrace is a building located at the top of the Peak from where you can see the whole island.
The tram departs every 10 to 15 minutes.
