What used to be the headquarters of Gestapo until 1945 is now a unique architectural complex which holds the evidence of Nazi crimes and is one of the most visited attractions in Berlin. This place is visited by over a million tourists annually. There are three permanent exhibitions that you can explore and a number of temporary ones. All information is provided both in German and English.
The three permanent exhibitions focus on the SS, Gestapo, Nazi Propaganda and the tour of the site itself.
You can get here by metro, the nearest station being Kochstraße, line U6.
The outdoor grounds are accessible until dusk (not later than 8 pm).
