The name of this church refers to the Italian word "zitelle" which is a word for a young woman without any dowry. This 16th-century church was built as a part of an ecclesiastic complex, providing shelter to these women in need of help. The architect was most likely Andrea Palladio after whom was named the hotel which now occupies the convent complex.
Open for visitors only on Friday and Saturday from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
